Integrative Psychotherapy
What is Integrative Psychotherapy?
A personalised and flexible approach to therapy, meeting the ‘wholeness’ of you.
I believe that the beauty of Integrative Psychotherapy is the recognition that sometimes talking alone is not enough to support the complexity of a person’s needs. The mind and body influence one another, and by attending to both we are more likely to experience the enduring and meaningful change we seek.
Integrative psychotherapy and counselling utilise elements of different therapeutic approaches to support you in a sensitive and individual way. I understand that your journey through therapy is unique, and as such therapy provided should be sensitive to your needs and flexible in how these needs might be supported.
My approach to client work is primarily person-centred. I may also draw on different approaches, and use tools from a range of disciplines such as Humanistic therapy, Cognitive behavioural therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Yoga Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, as appropriate to your specific needs.
What I offer?
In person, and online therapy and counselling
As a trainee integrative psychotherapist, and experienced body-mind, yoga therapist I offer a welcoming, inclusive and non-judgemental space where you will be heard and respected. My aim is to provide a safe place where you will be supported in your enquiry and exploration. I combine talk therapy with approaches which can help access the mind via the body. My practice is trauma informed, and neuro-divergent friendly.
I can work with you online, or in-person in my Grantham consulting room.
I have experience in, and can support you in various areas, including the following:
Managing stress
Anxiety and depression
Sleep issues
Navigating grief and bereavement
Trauma
Chronic pain
Living with cancer and other chronic or life altering health issues.
Navigating life stages and transitions and searching for meaning and understanding of life.
Outdoor Therapy. ‘Walk as you Talk’ at Grantham House
An alternative to traditional therapy
Life can be tough going sometimes. Stress, anxiety, grief and loss, health issues, life transitions, shifts and changes in our usual routines can take their toll. Embarking on more traditional therapy or counselling can sometimes feel quite daunting.
Walk and talk therapy is a great way to enter the therapeutic process of talking therapy whilst also gaining the benefits of walking and being outdoors as you immerse yourself in the space and beauty of natural surroundings.
Grantham House has quiet and tranquil grounds where it’s possible to find privacy, and perhaps the space to open up and explore what’s troubling you. This approach can be particularly helpful for individuals who find traditional indoor therapy settings uncomfortable or restrictive. Meet with me for your therapy/ counselling session where we can ‘walk as we talk’.
